Matt and Alex planned the most laid-back elopement on their property - the twist - they surprised their friends and family by having them join on a zoom call! The beautiful couple were originally planning on eloping in Banff, Alberta but with the Covid19 travel guidelines, they thought it would be best to just get married in their backyard in Arkell, Ontario.
Alex had a gorgeous dress she ordered online from Asos and Snowberry Botanicals provided the bouquet, hair piece and boutonnière. With their witnesses in tow (who also doubled as their witnesses) they set up the perfect surprise ceremony outside. Matt waited as their friend Karla signed into the zoom call (which they had planned beforehand with the family as a games night!) - first the video showed the snow and the family sounded confused "what's going on" "guys your video isn't working" - and then all of a sudden Karla flipped the video from the snow to Matt standing in his suit! Everyone started to go crazy on the call "they are getting married" "they are doing it!!!" - and then Alex showed up in her stunning sparkly dress!
They said their vows to each other, exchanged rings, and made things official by signing paperwork! After that, they popped champagne, and had heart confetti through at them - pretty alright way to get married - what do you think?
