It was a hot day in July for Rand & Mike and one they will remember forever!
The girls got ready in the Solarium Room at the Elora Mill - the living room in the space is wall to wall windows with a stunning view of the gorge. It was a perfect spot for getting ready photos and fit the bride, her three besties, mum and future-mum in law and a few pop-ins that came to say hi! They got their makeup done right in the corner of the room with lots of natural light and the wedding dresses hanging up behind! The boys got ready back at their house in the Guelph. They popped some champagne, put on their bowties and amazing enamel sunglass/batman pins and headed to the Elora Mill. A huge thanks to Jess from Durand Studios for capturing the getting ready shots of the guys! She ROCKED it!
The decision to have the ceremony inside at the Foundry was for the best given the extreme heat that day. The ceremony was heartfelt, with the bride and groom sharing their own personal vows to each other. After the ceremony we all headed to the reception at The Granary across the road. We did family photos and bridal party photos up on the terrace (hot but nice to be outside!). We ended up finishing some of the photos downstairs in the reception area right in front of the big LOVE marquise sign. After a cocktail hour that let everyone cool down, the couple had an incredible entrance with Arabic drummers and a giant dance party!
This show stopper of an entrance was followed by a delicious dinner. The dinner was accompanied by speeches from the couple's loved ones and many toasts to their future together. The floral by Jodi Leigh Designs adorned the harvest tables and head table - the theme was white, green and a hint of black - this sounded like a very unique colour palette (or lack their of!) but it looked so modern and clean. As always, during golden hour we took the couple downstairs to the gates of the Elora Mill and had them walk up and down Geddes Street together!
