When a snow storm actually makes the photoshoot!

A winter anniversary session with Laurel, Mike & Millie that was complimented perfectly by the epic Ontario snow storm!

What to know about a winter photoshoot...do not stress about the weather because you just have to roll with it! We did not anticipate that we would be getting about 20-25 cm of heavy snow the day of this shoot, but luckily these three were more than game to have a bit of fun!

Here's a few things to think about when planning a winter shoot

(1) It will be quick! Be ready to get shit done fast - no one wants to get hypothermia for the 'gram

(2) Take breaks (further to #1)! This is important for the photographer AND for the couple - plan to go to the car to warm up, or bring hot chocolate and hand warmers?!

(3) Dress warmly - these two had layered up and were wearing thick socks and Blundstones

A huge thank you to Jackie from Sixpence Bridal Studio for providing the gorgeous Tara Lauren wedding dress for Laurel to wear (she looked STUNNING in it). If you haven't checked out Sixpence, stop reading this blog immediately and GO! If a consignment wedding dress is what you want for your wedding day, this is absolutely the place to find it. Icing on the (wedding) cake is that Jackie is one of the kindest souls I have ever met.

Another massive shout out to Vinka, who made the delicious and beautiful cake. I actually shot Vinka's wedding and I've been obsessed with her ever since :)

And of course, to my forever babe and styling angel, Jess from Painted White Studio ❤️ She brought the blanket, pillows, and furs galore. Love you long time Jess.
